GhostRider is a wooden roller coaster located at Knott's Berry Farm, recognized as the longest, tallest, and fastest wooden coaster on the West Coast. Standing at 118 feet high, it spans over 4,500 feet of track and features 14 hills that offer significant airtime during the nearly three-minute ride. Riders embark in mining cars that resemble gold, silver, or copper ore transports, entering a themed mine before experiencing a series of twists and turns. The ride is known for its intense thrills and has received accolades as one of the best wooden coasters globally since its debut in 1998. In late 2015 and spring 2016, the track underwent a complete refurbishment, enhancing the overall ride experience with a smoother track and updated trains. Riding GhostRider at night adds an extra layer of excitement, as the darkness conceals many of its elements.
